FALL / WINTER 03" NEWSLETTER
What’s New:
Tricia and I had a son on July 23, 8lbs. 4 oz. Tyler Jacob. Thank god it was summer because the sleep deprivation just can’t be described.

A few new captains this season:

Alan Chamberlain - A local fisherman who has fished the area for years, he recently ran air boat tours through the everglades this past season.

Bill Golden - A lifetime Key West commercial fisherman and guide. He also ran air boat tours this past season. Bill also has a charter business in Key West, FL.

Prices on fuel, bait, and insurance have gone up this past year and we finally gave in and raised our prices.

How’s Fishing:
Excellent, The fall fishing was in full swing. The water stayed clean and there were plenty of bait. Now the waters are cooling down butthe fishing is still good.

Backwater Catches: Lots of snook and snapper. Redfish and some small tarpon have been found back inside. The passes are picking up with lots of action and spanish mackeral. The Pompano are showing up and should just get better through the winter.

Offshore catches: King mackeral and large spanish mackeral were hot this fall. Cobia are heading south and some large grouper have been In closer we’re finding reds, gags and some large snapper.

December: Winter is coming and the waters are cooling down. Backwater gets real popular for the fishing and calmer waters.
