SUMMER
02' –
NEWSLETTER
WHAT'S NEW: I landed the
big one! Tricia and I got married on June 22, 2002. It was
a rainy day but a beautiful night and a great sunny
honeymoon in Belize. Pictures are on the site under Belize
vacation. (Awesome Bone Fishing)
HOW’S FISHING:
May and
June were great. Big Snook on the beaches and in the
passes, Trout in the deeper water. Tarpon were good. They
came in early this year. Permit were awesome and quite a
few Cobia. July, Permit and Grouper has been great
offshore when we can get there. Weather is unpredictable
this time of the year. Backwater is good, but start early.
Big Snook a few Redfish and lots of Snapper. Mackerel in
the pass. Lobster season in the Florida Keys!
AUGUST FISHING:
The
waters are hot and the fish move towards the deeper waters
of the passes and cooler near shore water. Snook, Snapper
and Redfish are good in the backwater. Grouper moving in
closer along with Snapper. Permit at some closer spots
along with a straggling Cobia here and there.
CATCH OF THE SUMMER:
Tricia caught the largest lobster
(4 lbs.) while diving
in the Keys.
